Hosting statuses
In this article, you will learn the meaning of each hosting status.
If you haven’t done this yet, download the desktop or mobile app and install the app.
Once you have logged in to the Chromaport app and created a workspace, you will see a screen with your workspace.
In the bottom-left corner of the app, you can check the current hosting status.

Hosting disabled
Hosting disabled means your computer (host) is not accessible remotely.
To enable hosting, first add a computer to your workspace - for example, by clicking 'Start hosting'.
You will be guided through the setup.
Once completed, the status will change to 'Running'.
State: Running
When the hosting state is ‘Running’, your computer (host) is available remotely and ready to connect to other devices.

State: Stopped
When you click ‘Stop’, the hosting state will change to ‘Stopped’.
This means the computer is no longer available for hosting.

After changing the status, make sure to click ‘Refresh’ in the Computers view - the status does not update automatically.

After refreshing:

Hosting as
If you are in a workspace with access to multiple computers, clicking the computer name in the bottom-left corner will open a list of available computers.
Only computers for which you have the ‘Deploy computer’ permission will be visible.

Hosting as (computer name) means that the device you are currently using will be available to others under the selected computer name.
Use this option carefully, as it changes how a computer is exposed and used across the workspace.
This means anyone connecting to a host under this name will use the applications assigned to the computer currently associated with that name.
