In this article, you will find helpful tips for using the Chromaport application.

General performance tips

Use a stable internet connection on both host and client devices
Ensure the host machine has sufficient upload speed
Close unnecessary background applications on the host

Remember to click ‘Refresh’

Whenever you change the hosting status, add a computer from the Apps view, or update computer settings, make sure to click ‘Refresh’ in the Computers view. The status does not update automatically.

Use ‘Delete’ with caution

Keep in mind that deleting a workspace is irreversible. Once deleted, you and all workspace members will lose access to the workspace, including its subscription, devices, and apps.

Add computer access to members

After a user accepts the invitation, don’t forget to grant them access to a computer. Workspace members do not have computer access by default.

You can assign access in either member settings or computer settings.

‘Hosting as’ status

If you want to share your computer as another workspace computer, be careful. This option affects all users in the workspace.

Anyone connecting under this name will use the applications assigned to the computer currently associated with it.

Multi-session

When multiple users control the same environment, conflicts may occur if actions happen simultaneously.

Best practice: users should take turns to avoid input conflicts.

Collaboration best practices

Assign permissions carefully to avoid conflicts
Ensure a stable network for all participants
Communicate clearly when sharing control, as all inputs are processed in real time

Adding applications

Make sure that the app path or app command matches on both computers — the one from which the application was added and the one you want to use now.

If the path or command is different, the shortcut will be created, but the app will not be found when you try to launch it.

Always use the latest version of Chromaport to ensure stability, performance improvements, and access to new features.
