Chromaport

Ctrl+Alt+Delete Support

Chromaport supports sending Ctrl+Alt+Delete to a Windows host. This allows you to access the Windows security screen, including options such as locking the computer, switching users, signing out, or opening Task Manager.

Requirements

Ctrl+Alt+Delete support requires the Chromaport host to be installed and running as a Windows service.

The service allows Chromaport to handle the secure Windows desktop where the normal user application cannot directly simulate the Ctrl+Alt+Delete sequence.

Install Chromaport as a service

During installation, enable the Install as a service option.

If Chromaport is already installed without the service, run the installer again and enable the service installation option.

After installation, make sure the Chromaport service is running before connecting to the computer.

Sending Ctrl+Alt+Delete

Once connected to a Windows host with the Chromaport service installed, you can trigger Ctrl+Alt+Delete from the client.

On mobile devices, Ctrl+Alt+Delete can be triggered using the virtual keyboard. The virtual keyboard supports multitouch, allowing modifier keys such as Ctrl and Alt to be held while pressing Delete.

Ctrl+Alt+End shortcut

The Ctrl+Alt+End shortcut is also bound to Ctrl+Alt+Delete in Chromaport.

Both shortcuts trigger the same Ctrl+Alt+Delete action on the remote Windows host.
